• Not really sure where this goes, but I’ll give this area a shot.

I want to have a dynamic page that I can make notes on without having to make a new post every time. I want it to be available to me as I get inspiration from time to time and I need whatever it is to be accessable. A link to a description where I can make notes on the idea I just thought up, so I can move on and not have to deal with it right then.

Basically I want a small corner of one of the boxes (and it can be a plug-in) where I can enter some text, then click on a “read more” link or something, and fill out more information to store it for later retrevial.

I can use the pages feature if I have to, but that’s kind of cumbersome. Is there something that is either part of WP or that I can add into it where it’s just one or two clicks? It would be really good if I could have email support or email posts to it as well.

    Thanks for your attention.

  • I do this with Post-It software from 3m – even the free version does this….

Maybe Chris J Davis’ Notepad plugin ?

And I SERIOUSLY endorse Chris J Davis’ Notepad, too. Some even better upgrades are coming…soon, I’ve been told.

Hmmm, let me try the CJD Notepad plugin for a while. It looks good. As far as the Post-it notes, I don’t want to be slaved to one PC since I’m all over the place, and I don’t always know what is going on, where.

I evaluated the Post-It program for work, and while I asked for an eval copy of the full pro program, I was told to buy it and if I didn’t like it they would refund the money. I didn’t like the lite version. It was cute, but I could have gotten 50 free full featured programs to do what it did.

Each to hisser own. I don’t use the cjd notepad, BECAUSE I can’t use it outside WP and 90% of what I do is done outside of WP – including emailing notes to my editor and publisher (well, aside from the fact that I just didn’t like it very well – personal opinion!). That’s why there are various solutions of course….
