   I installed WordPress 3.1.1 last week, and have now populated a lot of pages and posts. So I have gone in tonight to try and export what work I have created. However I click on Tools / Export / All Content / Download Export File - as soon as I click download export file I get a white screen with the single word 'Error!' and thats all.

   Also then went on to successfully update to wordpress version 3.1.2 but I am still getting the same 'Error!' message when trying to export.

   Any ideas what is causing this issue?

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   Thanks Esmi...

   This solution worked, the plugin causing the conflict was Download Manager (http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/).

   Now I know, it is no problem to deactivate, do the export, then reactivate again, as it is a useful plugin.
