[resolved] clicking link: mydomain/blog/?p= shows no sidebar (3 posts)

I have WP installed on my site, theme is WordPress Default 1.6 by Michael Heilemann. I use FeedBurner RSS and email.
I have it sent to my email for testing.

If I click on the post title link that is, for example:
"mydomain/blog/?p=31" it shows the post fine, but with no side bar. If I click on the blog title, it opens up my index page with sidebar showing.

This also happens for clicking on google search links where a post is listed as, for example
    "mydomain/blog/?p=31".

Can I do anything to have these links show the post with sidebar when clicked?

PS I have not upgraded as I am waiting for Classico to upgrade in my Control Panel.

Instructions for displaying sidebars everywhere in the default (a.k.a. Kubrick) theme:
