People in that topic go all over the place. There is no clear cause to their problem, if they stop responding then there is of course no solution to be had.
If your first click is counted then you do *not* have the same problem and the whole topic is not relevant to you.
If only your first click is counted that simply means the cooldown is in effect. After the cooldown another click of you will be counted. This is determined by IP address.
The default cooldown time is 24h. you can change it in settings.
thanks for the reply… where is this cool down setting? I have not found it? Also this was yesterday and still no new clicks when testing… but if I’m lucky it will be a cool down period… although I’m not sure why tracking views but not clicks is a good idea… my fingers are crossed that I can solve this because it’s clearly a well thought out plugin. Let me know what I can do. thanks
The cooldown setting (or click timer) is in the AdRotate settings.
If clicktracking doesn’t work for you you can try enabling/disabling the jQuery method, in AdRotate settings. But if one click is counted already I doubt that will change anything.
Well I have looked at the settings page a thousand times and do not see anything about click time settings
If your setup does not have a “Clicks timer” option then you’re not using a recent version.
Update to the latest version.
yes I am – its as recent as these comments… could you just be specific? Or screenshot or something… if I search the page for an instance I get nothing… There is a timer for views not for clicks… There is a mention of click stuff for debuggging/technical assessment… Not a setting exactly. Can you give me a specific detailed answer… the setting section its in… the title… I am not convinced it exists.
It’s directly below the Impressions (you called it views in your last post) timer option.
The options further down under debugging are indeed not the ones you want.
Not found the timer option… don’t think it exists in my install – above is the options in the area you specified… however I got another click out of the plugin today… which does suggest it could be to do with time limits… so would be great to find out how to reduce this limit. Thanks
Again, if you don’t have this option you don’t have a recent version. Update to 3.9.12 or newer.
For another question I tested the Click timer option in both AdRotate Pro and Free yesterday and it’s definitely there.
Hello, upgraded, found click timer feature, did not resolve the issue, still very temperamental tracking of clicks. I will give up for now but if you have any suggestions I will happily revisit the problem. Thank
