[resolved] Click state open by default (8 posts)

Cool plugin! Is there a way to have the chosen share icons show when you hover over the image, without the user having to click the "share" button? Basically I'd like the collapsible tab that says "share this image" to be in its open state by default. Possible?

    Thanks!

That is a fantastic idea, I will make this an option tomorrow and you'll be the first to know once it's ready.

    Thanks for your support.

Slingpic has been updated to 3.2.0! It now supports the "autoShowShare" option which when turned on will show the sharing options by default when the image is hovered over.

Thank you for the feedback, I hope you are happy with the update. Please let me know if there are any other enhancements you would like.

Thank you for your quick response, and for making the modification! My only other request is that the CSS stylesheet be shipped with the plugin, rather than running off of your repository. Is this a change you'd be willing to make?

    Thanks again - Aaron

    No worries Aaron!

I'm trying to keep Slingpic consistent across multiple platforms, it helps me with keeping testing tight so new releases don't effect anyone negatively. Therefore I am keeping the code on a CDN where I'm able to do large scale updates whilst allowing publishers to always maintain control of their settings. Plus the benefits of faster file downloads from the CDN.

Any updates that have a visual impact will be done using a brand new style sheet (note the current style sheet file is http://cdn.slingpic.com/css/slingpicv2.css) so users will be able to decide whether to upgrade or not. This ensures Slingpic publishers will not be in a situation where things are changing on their website without their knowing.

I appreciate the need for consistency. My reasoning for wanting a local css stylesheet is that you use a fair amount of !important tags, which can make it tricky to customize the look and feel to match a site/blog's visuals. It sounds like you have specific reasons for setting it up the way you did, which I respect. I know you're dealing with a lot of APIs.

I look forward to future updates!

I am currently working on a custom theme, giving you this kind of control.

Thanks again for your support :)

OK, cool. I have my CSS ready to go for when the customization option is available. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the Twitter shout out too :)
