   I'm creating a plugin that inserts images (found on a site) into your post. The plugin operates directly below the writing area.

   I'd like to know if wordpress had a standard command to *on click* insert data (in this instance, an image or image code) into the text area.

   I could write the jquery code myself, but I want to make sure there is not a standard function available for this.

   I don't need a written tutorial for a reply, but a simple link or explanation could send me off in the right direction

   have you looked at the default insert media buttons?

   That never occurred to me. I'll research that and see if any provision is made to allow plugins to use them.
