it should be enough to click the URL. After the click it should be in the clipboard and user can paste it.
If it does not work. Could you give us the URL of your contest so we can try it out?

My contest just ended last night. I wish someone got back to me sooner as we had over 400 entries and no one was able to refer anyone by sharing on Twitter or Facebook.
I replicated a new contest on my website and the same thing is happening….the contest will not allow me to share the URL. Please help me figure out what to do for the next contest. TEST CONTEST

I just added this plugin, and at first I thought the Click & Share URL feature didn’t work either. The plugin will not allow you to select or highlight the URL text, but when you click on it, it does in fact copy the URL to your clipboard.
For example, it doesn’t appear that anything happens when you click on the URL, but when you paste, it will in fact paste the URL.
Webikon, although this function appears to be working (for me), it’s definitely not very user friendly. Most people are used to highlighting text and then manually copying it themselves. It’s very confusing when you try to select the URL and nothing happens. When you click on it, there’s no message of any sort to inform you that the URL has been copied, so it’s easy to assume nothing happened.
Hopefully this can be remedied with a simple modification (either on our end, or permanently on yours). We haven’t posted our first contest yet, but I can see our users having the same problem as flgirl…

THANK YOU! You are correct…it does work…but I wouldn’t have known it as it doesn’t click or do anything! I’m now sorry I disabled it on my contest, but if I didn’t get it,….I don’t think anyone else would have thought it worked either! I hope they fix this tiny bug!
