   I am unable to change the default font size in posts. I can change the block quote font size, but regardless of what I seem to do in the style sheet, I can not affect the regular post font size.

   My stylesheet is here:

   http://thegoldengate.net/wp-content/themes/cleanbreeze/style.css

   right now I have the block quote size set to 8 so it matches, but this makes the readability tough.

   Any ideas would be appreciated...

   I think you need to change it here:

   #content p, #content li {
   font-size:10.5px;
   }
