   I notice the images chosen are quite small compared to some other posts with images in on facebook.. anyway of changing the size?

   You can change the link picture size with a plugin setting, but this is only to get the aspect ratio right in some cases. Facebook determines how link pictures are shown, not the plugin. If you see bigger images on Facebook, that is because a different status type is being used. Before you aks: Add Link to Facebook only support links.
