   Hi guys,

   Am totally new to the webhosting and wordpress installation thingy.

   The only way i can get my wordpress-powered site to work (or at least due to my limited knowledge) is to set the directories and files of wordpress to Chmod 755.

   Is this level safe in terms of security? Or is there a more secure level and how do i do it?

   Yes, 755 is the ideal security level for directories. 644 is ideal for files (since they don't need execute permissions), but 755 is just as secure if you want to use that for everything.
