[resolved] Child Theme TwentyTen Custom Page Template Doesn't Work (2 posts)

    Trying to do a Page with no headline.

    I'm using twentyten child theme. It has the standard 3 files + custompage.php and loop-page.php

    The only coding I did was insert the conditional statement

    <?php if (!is_page_template('my_custom_page.php')) { ?>
    					<?php if ( is_front_page() ) { ?>
    						<h2 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    					<?php } else { ?>
    						<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    					<?php } ?>
    					<?php } ?>

    Instructions came from here:

    http://designisphilosophy.com/tutorials/custom-page-templates-in-twentyten-theme/

    Result:

    Works, no page/entry title. But no layout and no header.

    I'm an impatient tweaker who likes to learn. Please help :)

    Got it. Turns out I'm smarter than I thought. Which isn't sayin' much :P There was a syntax error (unclosed php tag) in the custom page PHP, nothing wrong with the loop. The video missed it by a hair. Instructions still hold up for anyone looking.
