    Hi,

    I’m trying to set up a child theme for http://dev.pl.patg4u.com/

    I’ve set up quite a few child themes before.
    When I activate it it loses all layout functions and everything lines up on the left side of the site.

    Here is what I am using for style.css
    /*
    Theme Name: Vantage Child Theme
    Theme URI: http://example.com/twenty-fourteen-child/
    Description: Vantage Child Theme
    Author: PATG
    Author URI: http://promotingallthingsgood.com
    Template: vantage
    Version: 1.0.0

    */

    @import url(“../vantage/style.css”);

    /* =Theme customization starts here
    ————————————————————– */

    Thank you.

    Rob

    A little help please.

    Has the Vantage got a Landing page option instead of me creating a child theme where there is no guarantee is going to work. The landing page I need urgently.

    There is a landing page option under customize theme.

    But, if you want to make design changes to the theme you will need to set up a child theme so that your changes are not lost when the theme is updated.

    Problem solved.
    I used a plugin called Child Themify that creates a Child theme for you, and it worked great!
