Child Theme not working (3 posts)

    I am trying to activate a child theme for Inkblot. Here is my style.css code:

    /*
     Theme Name:     Rachel Goldstein
     Theme URI:      //github.com/mgsisk/inkblot
     Description:    child theme for Inkblot
     Author:         Rachel Goldstein
     Author URI:     http://www.brooklynupdates.com
     Template:       inkblot
     Version:        1.0.0
     Description: 	 Child theme for Inkblot
    Webcomic: 4.0.7
    */

    @import url("../inkblot/style.css");

    But when I activate it, the theme looks broken (no styles at all). I did see this and I added a custom.css file to the child folder, but so far everything is still broken. Help?

    I eventually got the child theme to work, but now my navigation looks like a bulleted list instead of horizontal. What happened? Help? I copied all my custom styles and have no idea how this happened. Thanks in advance.

    OK, I got this figured out. Inkblot child themes do not work in the usual way. You need to copy the entire Inkblot style.css over to the child theme, and then add your custom styles in custom.css in the child theme. And add Template: inkblot to the style.css header. No @import style for the child theme style.css. Just need to copy it all.
