• I created a child theme using Text Wrangler and put it in a new child folder as directed on this site. All the header info is correct. Still not seeing it in on my Themes page with the other themes that are clearly at the same folder level as my new one; those all can be activated and work. Anyone know of an issue with creating a CSS stylesheet in TW? I check the code and it’s LF, which some users found as a solution. I’m wondering whether the issue has to do with this site originating as a subfolder of another site? It has all of its own contents (wp-admin folder, etc.).
This process worked for another site I was using as part of my Lynda.com training session (OK, I’m new at this).
Since I’m early on with this, I’m thinking of reinstalling the WP software and starting my site from scratch (it’s fairly simple) unless I hear of an easier solution….

  • What’s “LF”? It should be fine in a sub-directory. What’s the code in the style.css file and what’s the name on the child theme folder.

Can you post a link to the site as well?
