Child Theme Not Displaying Properly (5 posts)

Good day, I have been trying to change a theme with a child theme and I have got the look of one page that I wanted the problem is that it only displays properly in Google Chrome. On the other browsers like firefox, opera etc some of the divs align left and some right whereas in Chrome they are perfectly centralised. How can I overcome this problem?

Can I open a div in the header and then close it in the footer this will be the div that centralises all the content and in theory it should then be aligned in all the different browsers? is this possible with wordpress?

Does a CSS reset have anything to do with this?

Usually browser differences like that are caused by HTML and/or CSS errors so I'd suggest you start by validating your pages:

Yes, you can do what you describe but that will not fix the kind of problems you have if they are due to errors.

No, CSS reset would not fix those problems.

If you use Firefox, the Web developer Toolbar incorporates links in its Tools menu that allow you to validate CSS locally. Other than that, you can upload individual files to the CSS validator.

You can validate your local CSS file by uploading it here:
