Child theme footer has unwanted box surrounding it

    There are literally thousands of WordPress themes – which means that many people won’t be familiar with your particular theme. So a link to your site where people can see the theme might result in more responses.

    Have you tried using Chrome Developer Tools or Firefox Firebug, both of which have DOM inspectors that will tell you what CSS style definitions are being applied to any given element?
