[resolved] Child theme confusion (5 posts)

    I created a child theme for alexandria and copied over the CSS, Skins and Images folder.

    When I make a change to the alexandria.css file in the skins folder (in the folder for the child theme), the change doesn't take. I also tried adding the code, below, to the style.css in the child folder.

    It looks as though the path to the stylesheet is fixed instead of relative.

    I'm at a little bit of a loss as to what to do. This is the code I want to modify.

    .widget {
    width:100%;
    overflow:auto; /* want to change from auto to hidden */
    margin-bottom:30px;
    }

    I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

    Mike

    A link to your site would help. :)

    I see there is a template for the child theme. I'm going to play with that a little, and it will invalidate the above links. I'll report back as to my progress. In the meantime, I may be able get this fixed myself.

    OK, resolved. I'm going to write a quick post on using a child theme.
