Child and Hierarchical NOT working (7 posts)

    The Child and Hierarchical are not working on my blog. Categories under Handbags > Designers are NOT even TOGETHER. It's also not ordered by name, like I want, but in order of creation! I had the default, and then I set this in my code:

  2. <h2><?php _e('Categories'); ?></h2>
      <?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&children=true&hierarchical=true'); ?>
  3. (It's not showing correctly, but you get the idea.)

    And then this is in my style.css

    #sidebar ul li ul li ul li {
    margin-left: 1em;
    }

    There is also no indent for them, of course, that wouldn't work anyway without the ordering. My site is looking terrible right now.

    (I am using the chocolate candy template, and my url is http://kissmestace.com/pursedlips )

    I think it shows the children in hierarchal form by default without putting it in the array...at least I don't believe I have it in my array and my archives work fine - see?

    I know it's supposed to. But I set it to have () nothing inside there. Still looked like it does now. Sooo I tried that, just in case. I can't find why it's doing this! Could there be something in the style sheet? Is there an "Option"?

    It's sorting by ID. Can I at least change each category's ID? (By PhpMyAdmin apparantly I can) Can I change the default sorting in PhpMy Admin?

    Hmm the standard:

    <li><h2><?php _e('Categories'); ?></h2>
    <ul><?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&hide_empty=0&optioncount=1'); ?>
    </ul>
    </li>

    seems to work for me...

    Wow. It's the hide empty that fixed it. Which stinks, because I was just adding every possible category that I could use, in order to change the ID numbers in PHPMyAdmin just once. Very funny, isn't it?
