    Hi e1900, the following explains very clearly why you would enable that option in your settings. This is found in the changelog description.

    Added new feature which allows users to generate an automated unlock request link via email when they get locked out because of the login lockdown feature.

    Hi, this doesnt seem to do anything? what is its purpose and when is it activated, how does it work?

    Did you try locking yourself out of your website to test this feature?
