"Cheatin’ uh?" After Installing BDP RSS Aggregator (9 posts)

I installed a fresh copy of WordpPress 2.0
I installed and activated the BDP RSS Aggregator
When I click on the RSS Feeds tab in the Manage section (like I've done w/ 3 other blogs), I get a page that reads:

    "Cheatin' uh?"

    Please help!

    See these search results:
    http://wordpress.org/search/Cheatin%27+uh%3F?forums=1
Also, it's been reported that Brian's latest comments sometimes does this.
Also, you get this if your user level is less than 5.

Thanks! I actually tried searching and found the past links, but none of them seemed to apply. Any ideas which might be applicable?

Also, I don't think I understand what you mean by "get this", and what user levels are.

    Thanks in advance!

OK....I get the Level 5 thing now. I'm an admin, though....so in my case that's definitely not it.

For what it's worth, I just discovered that WP sites that have migrated to 2.1 from previous versions do not have this problem. Only brand new 2.1 sites.

I got the same thing on a fresh install of 2.1 with me as admin. Oddly though, another blog with a fresh install worked. Both are in the same main hosting account, though I don't know if that's a factor. I'll compare the plugs in the two sites to see if that sheds any light, and if so, will report back.

Hi folks -- In case this helps anyone, in my blog where the BDPrss plug gave me "cheatin' uh?" instead of the config page, I went back into my users area where I saw myself as admin, and then I checked my admin user id and updated myself wityh admin privileges, even though I already had them, I assume, since I created the blog. Now, thankfully, I get the configuration page for the plug instead of "cheatin' eh?"

I did the Everysandwich fix above (checking user id and update myself with adming privileges even though I already had them) and it seemed to work as well.

    Thanks!
