   This topic has been touched upon, but not specifically about what I'm asking. What I'd like to know is how WP can be configured to become a website where many users can post stories. Essentially, any user can sign up and post a story. This is easy if the story only has one page - they could just make one entry a story. But stories typically have several chapters.

   So, how would I change the coding (or at least where would I look) to do this? I don't mind using the next-page function, but I need a way to list all the chapters in a story.

   You could try using my In-Series plugin, to link individual posts (chapters) together.

   Thank you for that. I posted a question on the comments of your blog entry about this plug-in.

   For anyone else who can think of another solution, I'd really like to know if there is a system that can keep track of the series, so that authors can just choose which series they would like to add an entry to - like from drop down.

   This would be wonderful if it could do the same for pages too.
