well, i thought this was going to be easy, but not for me. I want to switch the wordpress CMS I've put together which is currently (examples)www.mysitehere.com/wordpress to just http://www.mysitehere.com without having to use the /wordpress as it is now? I think this would be called reassigning my domain name or some variation of that. I'm not changing my server, or getting a new domain I just want to replace my current webpage with the wordpress site I've made, make sense?

Posted 3 years ago #I just went through this process, and used a reverse version of this process:
Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
Since it's already in its own folder, the steps about moving the index.php and .htaccess files out to the root are what apply.
