First, here's the website I'm working on: http://www.nellesmith.com.
Concisely, I'm trying to remove the "Categories" and "Archives" sections of the menu. The custom menu option does not seem to offer this functionality.
I'm comfortable editing the code, but I'm not sure what to edit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've figured it out!
Just go to the header php and find the titles of the menu. There you can remove it or change it. Hope it helps.

I'm trying to do the same thing, but simply editing the header.php file only removes the functionality (but did not remove it from the navigation menu).
I would prefer to keep the functionality (in case I want it later) and simply remove 'archives' 'categories' and 'search' from the navigation menu.
Any ideas?

Scott,
I see that you were able to remove the unwanted items from your menu. Would you mind filling me in on how you went about that?
Also, how were you able to add the contact field?
Thank you in advance!
