Changing URL

    This might be a stupid question and I’m sure it’s an easy enough answer but I’m just trying to make sure. I am trying to change the URL on my wordpress page and I’m wondering if once I buy a new domain and change it, will all the content be the same? I know there is a page with steps for changing the URL but all I want to know is will everything be the same once I purchase the new domain and change it from the one I have now?

    Unless you redirect your old URLs to new one using a 301 redirect (or redirect plugins) you may lose your search rankings and PageRank. You can retain your content without any problems.
