Changing to new share formatting

Is there an ETA on when the plugin will be updated to the new share formatting? Our site is already sending the larger images to facebook, but for some reason it’s appearing as a large square box with a little bit of text under it taking up about half the width of the newsfeed, rather than filling the newsfeed width as is supposed to happen.

The plugin does not downsize your images. You may test the image associated with a page using the Facebook URL Debugger.

A Facebook Developers blog post on January 16 mentions providing “the largest images you have.”

Not downsizing. The new facebook share format has much larger photos (200×200 in the timeline). However, for some reason the plugin was sharing the larger image but stuffing all of the og:description underneath the photo rather than to the right of it as was supposed to happen.

It seems to be working right now, but if I see it share the wrong way I’ll post screenshots.

Niall – Basically he’s stating (as the one of users of my plugin did) that posts made through an app have small images no matter how big the originals are.. where as posts shared have much bigger images..
