Changing threaded comments level from 5 to 4?

I have recently changed the levels of nested comments from 5 to 4 (because it was getting messy) but now I am seeing some weird results where seemingly some can still post/see a 5th level while others (like me) can only see 4 levels. What ends up happening is that I see things which were posted only minutes ago at the first level but up the tree, its like their comment is suppose to be nested at the 5th level but, I can only see 4.

Has anyone else experienced this? I hope that I made that clear enough… please let me know if I feel short. Thanks in advance.
