Changing Themes – General Question

    What is the customary procedure for changing from one simple theme to another, when you have an active plug-in, such as NextGen photo gallery?

    Is it safe to change themes when there are active widgets and plug-ins? or does anything have to be disabled first?

    It’s normally quite safe in that nothing will break on the server/site. You may have some temporary design problems if you have customised your old theme to work with certain widgets or plugins but it’s just a case of working through those.
