I have a site but I only want to use pages rather than posts. When I go to the homepage:

    http://cgi.nelsonriggott.plus.com/souters/

is there any way I can specify that instead of the blog looking for a post, and obviously not finding one, it goes straight to a page instead, such as the contents of:

    http://cgi.nelsonriggott.plus.com/souters/?page_id=13

I don't really mean a redirect, I just mean I want to still use the main root url:

    http://cgi.nelsonriggott.plus.com/souters/

but for it to read the page instead? Daft question that probably makes no sense, sorry!

Yes, go to the plugins repository and look for Mr. Boren's "Page to Front"

Thanks! Sorted now - it's quite stunning how smart WordPress is, and all the people who write things to plug into it. What a wonderful resource.

    Thanks again
