• Hi, I have already looked through a few posts on this, and can’t find the answer.

I don’t know how to change the admin email, and changing it via the Users menu option on the left doesn’t work.

Also, I don’t see an admin_email field in my wp_options table either, nor do I see a site_meta table.

Here is a link to a picture, showing my PhpMyAdmin screen with all the tables, as well as the columns for the wp_options table:

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Go to “Settings” -> “General”, in your WP admin panel.

You should be able to change it there next to “email address”.

Just a note, I just went into the wp_options table, and found the admin_email entry.

It has been changed to the one that I want the emails to be sent to.

But the e-mails are still being sent to the old address.

Is there anywhere else I can change?

heigold1, have you tried changing this in your ‘users’ table?

RSPublishing, I just checked my “wp_users” table, and the e-mail address that I want to use is there.

Its still going to the old admin e-mail specified.

Did you try what I suggested above?

heigold, i would then suggest using Josh’s suggestion OR using this plugin : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mail-from/ (allows you to change the default mail address). Either way, it will update TO your database and not FROM your database. Much easier!

Hi Josh, sorry I missed your first message.

You guys, all I had to do was go to my “Contact” form (I added Contact Form 7) and change it there.

    AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!

    Sorry for the false alarm.

    Brent.

glad you have it all sorted now 🙂
