Support » Everything else WordPress » Changing setup defaults

  • This might be a strange questions, but I’m setting curious if there is a way to change the default settings when setting up the wordpress databases.

    For example:
Changing the default post from “Hello World!” to “Hey Buddy!”

    or

Changing the “About” page title to “About the authors”

is this possible? Does it make sense?

  • Yes it is possible – it involves editing core files which is never recommended (with every upgrade you’ll have to redo your changes). Everything is in the wp-admin/install.php file.

    Awesome, thank you.

    I’ll take my chances 🙂
