    Hi

I'm changing server and I'm getting the following problem:

I backed up my msql database, uploaded it to the new mysql server, uploaded wordpress to the new server (with the new wp-config). Finally I upgrade (/wp-admin/upgrade.php). But when I type the new url on my browser, it sends me to the old server.

    Please help!

The problem you have here is that the database contains several references to the domain on which WP was installed.

The easiest way to resolve this is to open up the export of your database in a text editor, then search/replace yourolddomain.com to yournewdomain.com.

Once this is done reimport the database onto your new server and all should be OK.

  3. You don't have to export and then reimport. See How to Move WordPress Blog to New Domain or Location and
Find and Replace Text in WordPress MySQL Database When Changing Domains and then use Search RegEx « WordPress Plugins for changing URLs through posts and pages.
