I have read all the guides, visited blogs, queried Google, the whole lot. I have tried several different plug-ins and all the same result, so I now turn to the forums.

My blog has been defaced twice within 12 (this was wednesday) and since that time I have got everything set back up just as it was, thanks to backups. I watched a video on gavnr.com? about steps to take to improve the security of your wordpress etc. So I am doing just that. He mentioned using a plugin called wp security scan and I got that updated it etc. But its saying my mysql user doesn't have permission to alter tables. So i manually did it and edited the config.. The blog works but when I try to access my admin panel. I get a message saying I don't have permission or privilege to access it.. This has been the same result with several different guides/tutorials that I have followed.

Can there be a simple way of doing this?
