Changing 'post page' to a page other than homepage? (2 posts)

    Hi,

    My site is the-wolf-and-i.com

I've been using the Pinboard theme and modifying things a bit, but am now having trouble with something quite simple. I'd like the 'news' page of my site to display the posts, and the homepage/frontpage to act like any of the other pages and be able to feature content/writing/photos, but not display any of the posts.

I've tried to achieve this - I've checked the 'front page displays static page' in the settings, and selected my 'news' page as the posts page, but at the moment that just makes both the news page and the homepage display the posts.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to achieve what I want?
    Many thanks!
    Mike

Do not edit the theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes. Then post in http://wordpress.org/support/theme/pinboard
