    //
    <?php comments_popup_script( $height= 400 , $width= 400 ); ?>
    // just for safety
    I used this code in the header. No matter how I change the variables the window stays very narrow. It has moved around the screen while I changed variables, but i cannot make it wider. I even tried all different spacing inside the parenthesis. I think I need a book.

    Remove the dollar signs, I think. That's all I can see that might be causing problems. Look around here, maybe:

    That didn't work at all. It cause a parse error. so far the best window was achieved removing all arguments from the parenthesis ()

    I'm stupid for not seeing this. You shouldn't have the words height or width in their either. Your function call should be:

    <?php comments_popup_script(400, 400); ?>

    Because this tag uses the function-style parameters, you can't have the equal signs, and other stuff. You can only have the parameter values.

    This worked thanks! I think that was from the help files. I don't think they apply to the new version
