• My site is now active: http://wirelessonwater.com but I noticed that I need to change the links to replace the wordpress default such as “wirelessonwater.com/pageid=65”.
I would like each page to look like “wirelessonwater.com/aboutpage”, etc.

How do I do this? I’m sure it’s simple and have an idea, but I want to make sure I am doing it correctly.

    Thanks!

  • It is under Settings >> Permalinks.

It sounds like you are referring to a Static page. Google that with Wp. I am sure there are step by step instructions already on the net for addressing your static page. Unless you are talking about your posts?
The plural LINKS is the operative.

Under settings – permalinks choose custom structure. In the field type in /%postname%/

That will give you the http://www.url.com/about-me/

For static pages: pages – edit: under title you can edit the permalink further. Example from about-me to aboutme. The same thing goes for the post. post – edit: under title you can further edit the permalink.

    Many youtube vids on this.
