    Hi all,

This question may seem quite odd, but I have a good reason to ask it, I promise!

I currently have a hierarchy of pages, but the URLs are getting extremely long since there are several levels. Is there any way to maintain the hierarchy of parent pages, but changing the permalink structure? The reason i like the parental hierarchy is that I use breadcrumbs on my pages to make it easier for my users to navigate the site.

    i.e. make http://www.nicekicks.com/air-jordans/air-jordan-3/air-jordan-3-silver-sport-red-orange-peel-cool-grey/

    into

    http://www.nicekicks.com/air-jordan-3-silver-sport-red-orange-peel-cool-grey/

    Thank you!

I think you should a approach it from other angle, like:
Wordpress htaccess "redirect rule" see this link: http://perishablepress.com/press/2008/01/16/comprehensive-htaccess-canonicalization-for-wordpress/
