You should be able to click on ‘my profile’ in the admin screen and make appropriate changes.

it won’t change my login though, is admin hard coded in? my nick should be my login correct?
Hmm…I see what you mean. I’m using 1.0.1 CVS and I remember when you could change your login from admin to ‘nickname’. Doesn’t appear to be that way anymore.
If that’s the case (don’t know if that’s a bug or oversight or what), you have a couple of options.
1) login as admin, but have your nickname displayed on your blog as an author (by selecting your choice on the ‘identity on blog’ dropdown in ‘my profile’;
2) Go through phpmyadmin and manually change the admin login. (Edit table ‘wp_users’, then row ‘user_login’ for the appropriate user (admin, in this case.) Just change admin to whatever you want, and you should be good to go.
