How does one change the default destination link url of the blog's logo? For example, if my blog site is at 'http://www.somesite.com/blog'
then clicking on the logo in the header takes me to 'http://www.somesite.com/blog'
How would I change that to hyperlink to the actual site home page, which is not the blog page, at 'http://www.somesite.com' ?
I experimented unfortunately within the admin section by changing the site URL. Mistake. I broke it and took me an hour to fix. Thanks.

You edit header.php of the theme you are using, where you see a link like this, attached to the logo image <a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/">.

Change it to the site home page <a href="http://example.com">.

No such code reference with the URL as the argument to <a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); in my theme's header.php file.
    Anyone?

Which theme are you using? Url to your site, so we can look at it?

The theme is 'illuminosity' I believe. The URL to the site is:

    http://mygeneimage.com/blog

Open header.php of your theme, right after <div id="header"> <div id="title">, you will find

    <h1><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>

    change to

    <h1><a href="http://mygeneimage.com/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>

That did it! except '?php bloginfo('name'); ?>' was not there. That was way up in the <title></title> tags. Thanks.
