I just changed hosts for my websites to godaddy. I am new to this, and did not back up my blog before switching. Is there a backup somewhere on wordpress? Is there a way to get it back?

No, sorry. wordpress.org has no direct connection yo your self-hosted WordPress site.

You could try to contact your old host for a backup.
