Changing font color of site description/locating CSS (8 posts)

    Hi -

    I am trying to change the color of the site description (tag line) so that it is different from the site title. I know how to do it in CSS but every time I try it seems to be overridden by something else & does not work. I can change the font size and other things but not the color.

    I used the Inspect Element feature in my browser and it says the CSS is located "inline" on "Line 27" - I have looked through several files and I can't find it anywhere. Would appreciate if someone could tell me where to find this. Thanks!

    element { Inline:27
    }
    .site-title a, .site-title a:hover, .site-description {
    color: rgb(215, 244, 22);
    }

    Install this Custom CSS Manager plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin

    Then use its "CSS Code" section of the dashboard to hold your CSS modifications.

    just put this CSS at the bottom of your theme's stylesheet

    .site-description {
    color: #yourcolorvalue !important;
    }

    @wacoh_327: Please do not encourage people to edit their theme's stylesheet. All of their changes will be lost when they update the theme.

    @esmi: It's just a simple problem with a simple fix anyway, your right not to put it to the stylesheet. In this case putting the CSS into Custom CSS Manager Plugin is a great idea.

    After installing Custom CSS Manager Plugin go here:

    Appearance > Custom CSS Manager

    then in the textfield put this

    .site-decription {
    color: #yourcolorvalue;
    }

    Thanks everybody! The plugin works as long as I include the !important code.
