We're setting up a developer site using wordpress (and atahualpa theme) and plan to use a test domain name. When we are ready to convert the site from the test domain name to the real name, assuming we're going to stay on the same server, is there any problem? What steps will will have to reconfigure?

technically we're not moving it, we just want to change the domain name and wonder whether that will cause an issue with the internal functioning.

It's definitely possible to change the domain after setting up the site. Still, there are some risks involved, so you should follow the instructions in the article I gave you that talk about changing the site url. I know you're not moving it, but parts of the article still apply, and it's important that you follow them.

All you will need to do change the domain names in your Settings>>>> General and point the new domain name to where you installed wordpress on your host account.

Micah, the "Moving_Wordpress" link you gave leads to basically a blank page....no content.
