Changing domain

    Hi guys,

    I’m trying to migrate my website to a VPS. I’ve moved the website successfully to the new server but the problem is that the url of the website is the IP of my new server.

    I’ve changed the DNS server names of my domain and it should take effect in couple of hours.

    My question is: How do I change the domain of the website?

    If you have migrated correctly, then you don’t have to worry about being able to access only by IP, IMO.

    In ‘certain’ cases, when the DNS is updated, you’d be able to access your site using the domain name, in addition to the IP of your new server. It depends on the hosting configuration. I recommend to contact the host, if you are in doubt about the server side configurations.
