Ok, wanted to change my thumbnail size to 218×140 which I did in Settings/Media.

I then went to edit a post and upload an image from there to associate the thumbnail with that post. On the screen that shows file imformation once the image is uploaded I can no longer set the image size options to thumbnail, medium or large, as they are inactive control elements and have no dimension information next to them.

The only option I can select is ‘Full size’ which now has my thumbnail image size next to it, 218×140.

I’ve tried setting everything to custom sizings with little success. I actually can’t remember the defaults now to try going back to those.

Can anyone help with this? I’m not running any plugins other than maintenance mode, and this is a fresh up to date install of WordPress.

    Thanks

    Rich

Sorry to bump but really quite desperate for a solution to this that doesn’t involve starting again from scratch! It’s driving me nuts trying to fix and it seems like its a bug in the core of WordPress rather than any plugin causing it as i have only Maintenance Mode installed 🙁

Fixed it myself – my own retarded fault. Had some conflicting code in functions.php

    I am dumb 🙂
