I am using WordPress 3.2.1 and the Twenty Eleven theme. I do not like how on my hompage where multiple posts can be viewed there is a speach bubble in the upper right hand corner for comments. I just feel like it is kind of confusing. Is there any way to change it so that there is a text line above or below each post that says the number of comments already made, or asks the reader to leave a comment instead? The “Leave a Reply” link already at the bottom of each posts blends in completely with the tags. I would just like to make it a little bit more user friendly. If I could do it without changing the theme, that would be ideal. I’m pretty sure it has to do with coding, but I am completely oblivious when it comes to coding, and have no idea how to manipulate it.
Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.
