• I am using WordPress 3.2.1 and the Twenty Eleven theme. I do not like how on my hompage where multiple posts can be viewed there is a speach bubble in the upper right hand corner for comments. I just feel like it is kind of confusing. Is there any way to change it so that there is a text line above or below each post that says the number of comments already made, or asks the reader to leave a comment instead? The “Leave a Reply” link already at the bottom of each posts blends in completely with the tags. I would just like to make it a little bit more user friendly. If I could do it without changing the theme, that would be ideal. I’m pretty sure it has to do with coding, but I am completely oblivious when it comes to coding, and have no idea how to manipulate it.

    Help!

  • Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

Create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.
