Hi I just started using Spun and I wanted to know if there was a way to change the background color along with the color of the font and colors. Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Thanks for posting in the forums, much easier to answer here than in 140 characters. :)

The background color of the theme can be changed by going to Appearance -> Background in your Dashboard (although the main content area will still retain a white background, for contrast).

To make more advanced adjustments, like font or image colors, or to remove the white background wrapper, you'll need to use CSS in a child theme or a CSS plugin (like Jetpack). I also recommend using a browser plugin like Firebug for CSS work. With Firebug, you can right-click to "Inspect" certain areas of your site to see exactly what CSS rules apply to the targeted area.

You'd want to modify the color and/or background-color CSS properties of different areas in the theme. With Spun, you may also need to adjust some opacity or filter properties, since this is what gives the theme a grayed-out effect.

While we don't offer CSS support in this forum, the above links have many resources for getting started. I hope this helps!

    Hello,

we are kind of newbies and just set up our Website with Spun. Nice design!

Does anyone know how to change the color of the menu, you can see on top of the page (on the right side). It is light grey and you nearly can not see it. Dark grey would be better.

    Looking forward,
    greetings.

I've got the same question as vienna4free. We're using this great theme for your upcoming wedding website. The only issue is that basically every element which changes on mouse-over is to light to see.

I can deal with PHP but never dealt with CSS. Any help is appreciated.
