   I have read through all the posts about changing the order of the categories in the side bar and most people have recommended a plugin. All the plugins recommended are not suitable for my version of WordPress ( 2.9.2)
   I am using Arclite theme and have put the categories in the side bar from the Arclite settings - theme-default category block rather than a widget as I think it looks much nicer but I want the categories in a different order - not alphabtical. Can anybody help?

   You'll need to edit the theme.

   Thanks for that, but I guess I will have to just leave it as it is - editing the theme looks far too complicated for my little mind. I am scared that I will mess up my site if I try and do that. But thank you anyway :)
