   Ok, so the problem is simple and I sure hope the solution is simple as well.

   Basically, I need to change the domain name (site URL) of my blog. However, many of my blog posts include images that have been uploaded to my web space with the old domain name.

   For example, an old blog post may have the image oldname.com/uploads/sample.jpg

   How do I automatically change everything associated with the site URL so I get newname.com/uploads/sample.jpg

   the solution is very simple, get connnected to your database, make a search and replace the old domain name with you new one. Or I think you could export your database. Then open the sql file with your favorite text editor, try to make a replace. Don't forget to import the new one.
