Where can I change the banner? I’m having trouble locating it in the code. I created a banner that I would like to put there.

You’ll want to create a home page and set the featured image. Then set this as the frontpage in settings >> reading.

I just found that. How about adjusting the pictures for the second under the banner?

There’s a user guide that you can download on the setup tab in the theme options panel that covers most theme features. You’ll find the featured pages options on the Frontpage tab in the theme options panel.

I downloaded that, but it says that the photos will auto-adjust, and they didn’t.

Was the theme installed when you set the featured images? If not you’ll need to reset them or use a plugin like this: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

I set the featured images after I installed the theme. I downloaded and used the plugin provided above, but it did not work. Do I need to resize the pictures? The plugin said that it regenerated the thumbnails successfully without any errors.

Ideally, the images should be 1170px wide to begin with. You might be working with images that are smaller then the locations that will contain them. The re-size does not enlarge it only shrinks the shorter dimension to fit and then crops the other dimension.

What should the height be? These photos are more than 1170 wide.

That’s odd they should be re-sizing. What is your website’s url?

My website is http://www.QtheChef.com. They were not resizing, but with a few trial and error episodes, I JUST figured out.

If you could please help me figure out why my entire site is left-justified all of a sudden, I will be good to go. I created a new feed for it.

Usually this kinds of issues are caused by plugins/widgets. Try deactivating all of your plugins to see if that solves the problem.

This did not work. I also made sure to only activate the plugins that I needed.

    Hello!
I can not put my static banner image on my static page. How to do that?

Changing the banner (header) image on this theme is very stupid.

I had to search for 2 days to find this forum thread to find out how.

Would it really be that hard to put a field in the front page tab ? or a Header tab under Appearance ? like almost every other theme ? or at least mention this in the Front page tab or in the documentation ?

The way the theme author suggested we add the banner image doesn’t work if you wanna use the front page for your latest blog posts now does it ?

And it’s a shame cuz it’s a very nice looking and pretty customizable theme, it could have been one of my most used themes.
