It’s stored in the database – not in a file. See the Admin’s Profile page.

I recognize that I have an email under my profile and I now see it in the database, but I’m talking about the email I entered when I first created the site. The one that sits of the Settings:General page. When I click on it I just get a message warning me that it has to be an email with my domain, but it does not allow me to change it there.
Is there a place I can change it in the database? It is not pulling it from my profile. I changed my profile email address, but it does not change the auto messaging email address.

That’s the email address in the primary Admin’s Profile. Settings->General displays site urls – not email addresses.

Where is this located in the database? Thanks esmi!
I think it’s in the wp-options table – under admin_email.

Don’t see it there.
Do I have to create a whole new site and get the right email in during the initial setup?
I would think it were someplace editable.

It is in there. I just double checked it.

It is editable – in Setting->General. I’ve never heard of this warning message before and I have installs that are using email addresses that are quite different from the domain address.

It looks editable, but I cannot. Might this be something that Yahoo is restricting? I have a Yahoo service that appears to have customized my installs of WordPress…
If I new where it were stored I could attempt to edit it in that table.
Ah – Yahoo! It could well be their imposed restriction.
