    Hi,

    I have this problem and I hope can find some solution here. I installed wordpress in a folder like similar to this: http://www.domain.com/blog/ and now my client wants me to move all his static pages from: http://www.domain.com/staticpage1.htm to the blog without loosing the URL structure. If I create the pages in the blog the url of the pages will be: http://www.domain.com/blog/statcicpage1/ and I need to find a way to change the URL from: http://www.domain.com/blog/statcicpage1/ to http://www.domain.com/staticpage1.htm. Is it possible? If is not I will have to install wordpress in the root to make it, but I dont wanna have 2 wordpress installations only for this. Thanks and greetings from Peru.

    Hi,

    Set your desired wordpress custom permalink and then add this code in htaccess:

    # BEGIN WordPress

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    ErrorDocument 404 /index.php?error=404
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress
